MILWAUKEEW, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) –Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is avoiding serious injury.
ESPN reports the “Greek Freak” has a sprained ligament in his right wrist and will undergo treatment. He’s not expected to be out long and will be able to return once the pain goes away.
The Bucks return from the All-Star break on Friday when they host the Miami Heat. The Bucks have won 12 in-a-row and currently sit second in the East at 41-and-17, just a half-game behind Boston.
Meanwhile, ESPN reports free agent big man Meyers Leonard is signing a ten-day contract with the Bucks. The 30-year-old was a first round pick by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2012 and also spent time with the Miami Heat.
