MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers added some depth to their spring training roster with two free agent signings earlier this week.
The team inked first-baseman Luke Voit and outfielder Tyler Naquin to minor-league deals with invitations to spring training.
The 32 year old Voit hit .226 with 22 homers and 69 RBIs with San Diego and Washington last season. He’s expected to compete as a right-handed complement to Rowdy Tellez at first base.
Naquin turns 32 in April and hit .229 with 11 homers and 46 RBIs with the Reds and Mets in 2022. He bats left-handed which could give him a shot as a reserve outfielder with the team.
