WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — Sheriff’s officials in Wood County have identified the man wanted in connection with an armed robbery incident at the Food Tree in Rudolph.
Eugene Schmidt was named as the suspect on Wednesday, and officials say he should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last known to be in the Marathon County area.
The 58-year-old Schmidt is 6’1″, 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

The incident happened Sunday, February 12th. Officials say that Schmidt walked into the store and showed a handgun while demanding money, lottery tickets, and cigarettes.
Anyone with information on Schmidt’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement. Do not try to apprehend him yourself or confront him.
In a press release, Sheriff’s officers encouraged Schmidt to turn himself into law enforcement or risk facing additional charges.
