WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Tuesday Wisconsin Supreme Court primary saw roughly 20% of the state’s eligible voters cast votes, according to state election authorities.
Unofficial results show that at least 960,477 voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary, according to the Wisconsin Elections Commissions. This equates to 20.5% of the 4,676,183 people of voting age in 2022, according to the state Department of Administration.
The turnout was among the highest in recent years for a spring primary election with a state Supreme Court contest. According to the elections commission, approximately 16% of the voting-age population cast ballots in 2020, approximately 12% in 2018, and approximately 13% in 2016.
