UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (WSAU) Tied 1-1 in the third period, Wisconsin’s Mathieu De St. Phalle scored on the near-side post to give the Badgers the win.
Penn State, ranked 10th in the nation, outshot Wisconsin 40-25. Junior Goalie Kyle McClellan tied his career-high with 47 saves.
The Badgers will finish last in the Big Ten this season, but have still managed at least one win against each conference opponent. Wisconsin finishes the regular season at 13-21-0 overall, and 6-18-0 in Big Ten play.
They’ll be at Michigan for a best-of-three series starting on Friday night at 6pm CT.
