MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Jimmy Haslam, owner of the Cleveland Browns, has agreed to purchase Marc Lasry’s share of the Milwaukee Bucks for $3.5 billion according to The Athletic.
Haslem has been in contact with Lasry and the Bucks for several months, and during that time, he has traveled to Milwaukee numerous times.
The Haslam Sports Group has owned the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer since 2019 and the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League since 2012.
In 2020, the year following his purchase of the Columbus Crew, they won the MLS Cup. However, he has had far less success during his time with the Browns. The Browns have had just one winning season since being purchased in 2012, and they have just once advanced to the postseason, in 2020.
Lasry and co-owner Wes Edens purchased the Bucks from previous owner Herb Kohl for $550 million in 2014.
