STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP football team will open the 2023 season with a game against Division I competition.
The Pointers will travel to St. Charles, Missouri to face the Lindenwood University Lions on August 31st to open their season. Lindenwood is transitioning from NCAA Division II to Division I and competes at the FCS level in the Ohio Valley Conference. It’ll be the first meeting between the Pointers and the Lions in football.
UWSP continues non-conference play against St. Norbert on September 9th and Albion College (MI) on the 23rd.
The seven-game WIAC schedule begins one week later against UW-Eau Claire, marking the annual Pink Game for the Pointers.
Homecoming will be on October 21st against River Falls. Senior Day is November 11th against La Crosse.
