WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – On Saturday, the city of Wausau will host Paws and Protect. Pets can be licensed, microchipped, and get their vaccinations updated at the event.
The event will be held at 400 Myron St from 9am-12pm on Saturday.
Rabies vaccinations will be free, and microchips will be $10 at the event. Meanwhile, license fees will vary depending on where the animal resides. A license will cost residents between $10 and $60.
Due to Ashlee Bishop, Wausau’s Humane Officer, only covering certain areas, the event is limited to residents of the City of Wausau, the Village of Weston, the Town of Weston, and the City of Schofield.
Bishop advises that if you have any questions or would like additional information, you may reach her by calling the non-emergency line for the Wausau Police Department at 715-261-7800 or by looking for her on Facebook under the name Wausau Humane Officer.
