STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of killing 92-year-old Clarence Banks last winter appears to have reached a plea deal with the state.
Court records show that Miles Bradley, 79, will have a plea and sentencing hearing on April 27th. Details of the agreement are unclear at this time, and the court has kept further proceedings on the calendar for now.
Bradley is accused of shooting Banks during an argument in a home that Bradley shared with one of Banks’ relatives. During the argument, Bradley armed himself and said he would kill Banks.
Other housemates were moving to intervene in the argument when Bradley allegedly pulled the trigger and killed Banks. Officers were called to the scene, and Bradley was arrested without incident.

Should a plea deal fall apart, Bradley is still scheduled for a trial in mid-August.
