PHOENIX, AZ (WSAU) –The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Colorado Rockies 12-8 in Phoenix.
Eric Lauer struggled in his start and gave up five runs on nine hits over four innings. Willy Contreras blasted two, three-run home runs while Brian Anderson slugged a solo shot of his own.
Milwaukee heads to Maricopa County to play the Rockies in a rematch this afternoon to wrap up spring training.
The Brewers also announced this week that prospect Brice Turang and Rule 5 draftee Gus Varland have made the Opening Day Roster.
The Brewers open the season in Chicago against the Cubs with games scheduled on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.
