The time is now to make your plan to vote in Tuesday’s spring non-partisan election.
The easiest way for voters to check their registration status and polling location is by using the myvote.wi.gov website, where they can look up their information by punching in their name and date of birth or their address. The site will also provide a sample ballot so voters know what to expect when they get the real deal.
Those that have voted absentee but haven’t returned their ballot should check with their local clerk for day-of drop-off options. Areas like Wausau and Weston that utilize central count will require you to drop off your ballot at the actual central count location, while some smaller municipalities may allow you to return the completed ballot to your usual polling place.
As always proper identification is required to receive your ballot.
The statewide race is for a ten-year term on the Supreme Court between former Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly and Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz. While the race is officially non-partisan, the state’s two major parties have lined up behind their preferred candidate. Outside interest groups have also spent millions in advertising to try to swing voters.
