ST. CROIX, WI (WSAU) – Authorities say that seven children were in a car last Friday when a woman was pulled over for speeding and suspected OWI.
Tianna Arnetta Rockett, 26, of East Chicago, was arrested at the scene. Officials said they noticed signs of impairment and determined she was under the influence of an intoxicant after administering a field sobriety test.
The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a traffic complaint on I-94 between Roberts and Hammond. A trooper discovered the vehicle and measured its speed at 106 mph.
Rockett was transported to Hudson Hospital and then to the St. Croix County Jail for her first offense of OWI.
The children, all of whom were under the age of 16, were taken to St. Croix County Protective Services, according to officials.
