GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers busy week continues as they’ve scheduled several more prospects for official visits this week.
According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP, the team will host Northwestern running back Evan Hull on an official top 30 visit before the 2023 NFL Draft.
In 37 career games, Hull (5-10, 209) rushed 488 times for 2,417 yards and 18 touchdowns and caught 94 passes for 851 yards and four touchdowns.
In 12 games in 2022, Hull forced 51 missed tackles, caught 54 passes, and gained 1,450 total yards. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he ran a 4.47 forty-yard dash.
The Packers will also host University of Miami cornerback Tyrique Stevenson for a Top 30 visit and will meet virtually with Minnesota center John Michael Schmitz.
According to Pro Football Focus, Stevenson is the 46th overall prospect, and scouts believe he is primarily an outside corner due to his patient play style and physicality, which give the impression that he is an on-ball man corner, but he is also capable of off-coverage.
On tape, Schmitz’s four years of starting experience at center is evident. He already performs the role as it is seen in the NFL.
If there’s one flaw on Schmitz’s tape that tends to get him in trouble, it’s the way he gets out of his stance. A little more control will assist him in adjusting to the speed of NFL pass rushers. He is currently projected to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
