MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – There is “optimism” regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo’s availability for Game 2 of their first-round series against the Miami Heat.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Antetokounmpo might end up back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. X-rays were taken by team medics during the game and were clear. The staff determined that he had a lower back contusion, which is considered a minor injury.

“We’ll monitor him and see how he wakes up tomorrow,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer told reports after the game.
Antetokounmpo’s health was the main focus of Game 1. He suffered the injury during a horrible fall on a charge call, and his squad lacked the firepower to defeat Jimmy Butler and company without him.
