GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Trying to guess who will be the No. 15 overall choice when the Green Bay Packers go on the clock is practically impossible. Who knows who will be available after 14 picks when unexpected trades shake things up?
ESPN Analytics’ “Draft Day Predictor” software aimed to provide some insight.
Who has the best probability of getting selected as the 15th pick? This is what the ESPN model says:
1. WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State: 10 percent
2. OT Broderick Jones, Georgia: 9.5 percent
3. OT Paris Johnson Jr, Ohio State: 8.75 percent
4. OLB Nolan Smith, Georgia: 8.5 percent
5. RB Bjian Robinson, Texas: 8.0 percent
6. OLB Lukas Van Ness, Iowa: 7.5 percent
7. CB Joey Porter Jr, Penn State: 6.5 percent
8. OT Darnell Wright, Tennessee: 6.5 percent
9. WR Zay Flowers, Boston College: 4.5 percent
10. OLB Myles Murphy, Clemson: 4.5 percent
11. TE Dalton Kincaid, Utah: 4.0 percent
The Green Bay Packers selected Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba at No. 15 overall in Peter Schrager’s first mock draft of the 2023 cycle. Schrager’s mock, unlike many others, is not based on his own assessment of players. Instead, he relied on information obtained from within the league.
While Smith-Njigba is the best match for the Packers, ESPN believes he won’t last until No. 15. In their most recent model, his chances of getting taken at No. 12 are greater than 20%. In comparison to Kincaid, who has a virtually 100% chance of being available for the Packers at No. 15.
