RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — Investigators in Oneida County have confirmed that the bodies that were found on Monday are those of two teens that went missing last weekend.
Oneida County Sheriff’s Captain Terri Hook confirmed that 17-year-old Aiden Grefe and 16-year-old Dakota Brown were found on Monday after a two-day search that covered an area of both Lincoln and Oneida Counties
The investigation into the deaths is still active. Captain Hook did say that they believe the elements may have played a factor in the deaths. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
Authorities spent much of Sunday and Monday searching for Brown and Grefe, at one point asking the public to stay away from the search area.
