STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – The Stevens Point Common Council met Tuesday night to pick a Council President and to hear Mayor Wiza’s appointments to several boards and commissions.
Alderperson Marc Christianson was elected Council President after some council members objected to the communication and procedure about committee selections.
Christianson will replace Meleesa Johnson as Council President after she filed noncandidacy to run for mayor during this spring’s election.
