WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A woman and three juveniles are facing charges in connection with a brawl at the Wisconsin Rapids skatepark earlier this month.
According to a press release, police responded on April 11 to a disturbance where a person pulled a gun and made threats at the Wisconsin Rapids Skatepark. People were also pepper sprayed.
Police reviewed surveillance video at the Skatepark and Aquatic Center where officers confirmed what took place. They found a woman had driven three male juveniles to the park. They got into an argument with another group of kids which involved a physical altercation.
The woman who drove the juveniles to the skate park is charged with disorderly conduct and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child. One juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct, battery and weapons violation, another for disorderly conduct and battery, and a third juvenile for disorderly conduct.
The incident closed the skatepark for one day.
Officers say they will continue to monitor the Skatepark and will take action against those who violate state laws and ordinances.
