WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man who’s facing 13 counts related to the possession of child pornography was scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, but new developments from earlier this spring delayed that hearing.
Court records show that Travis Errthum is still undergoing some mental evaluations, leading to the delay. Back in late March, his representatives said he had a scheduled evaluation with the Center for Wellbeing, which wouldn’t be completed until days before sentencing.
Records indicate it also remains possible that he could withdraw his plea to the charges as well. The 51-year-old previously pled no contest to all 13 counts he’s facing.
Errthum previously spent 10 years in prison on similar charges stemming from a case that wrapped up in 2008. In that incident, he faced seven counts of possession of child pornography. He entered a no contest plea to four of them with the remaining three dismissed but read into the record.
He returns to court next Tuesday, April 25th for a scheduling conference. In the meantime, he’s being held at the Redgranite Correctional Institute in Redgranite.
