The Milwaukee Brewers added another win to their record last night against the Los Angeles Angels. They beat the Angels 7-5. The Brewers earned their 3rd straight win after short stop Willy Adames and manager Craig Counsell were ejected from the game in the 6th inning. Adames tried for a time out from the plate, and umpire Adam Beck refused to grant the call, and called for a strike. Counsell tried arguing this, and ended up getting ejected. Adames struck out swinging on the next pitch and had words with Beck and then was also thrown out, and had to be restrained by his teammates.
Corbin Burnes pitched 6 innings for the Milwaukee Brewers, and allowed 1 run and 5 hits. The only run he gave up came in the 5th inning. He also was part of a double play covering 1st on a ball hit by Shohei Ohtani. Burnes struck out 5 and walked 1. The Angels went 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position, and left 8 on. Mike Trout of the Angels homered twice, and drove in 5 runs for LA. The Brewers had a 7-1 lead by scoring 3 runs in the 3rd and 4 more in the 5th. William Contreras walked with bases loaded in the 5th, and Winker’s pinch-hit single drove in Joey Wiemer and Christian Yelich.
The Brewers can go for a series sweep this afternoon at 1:10 PM.
