DENVER, CO (WSAU-MetroSource) – The Rockies scored a late run to edge the Brewers 3-2 in Denver.
The game was tied at two runs apiece heading into the eighth inning until Elias Diaz singled-home the go-ahead run. Pierce Johnson came in the following inning and slammed the door on the Brew Crew to earn his fourth save of the season.
Colorado improved to 10-and-20 and sits last in the NL West. Rowdy Tellez went two-for-four with an RBI for Milwaukee, which dropped to 18-and-11. The Brewers are second in the NL Central.
The series continues tonight. Eric Lauer gets the start opposite Kyle Freeland. Game coverage begins at 7:05pm CT on WSAU.
