WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department has announced that local hiking and riding trails are ready to officially open.
According to a press release, the Burma Forest ATV/UTV trails, Nine Mile County Forest mountain bike, and horse trails, Kronenwetter and Leather Camp County Forest horse trails, and Big Eau Pleine County Park mountain bike and horse trails will open tomorrow at 8 AM.
The mountain bike and horse paths at Nine Mile County Forest will be accessible daily from noon until the end of the spring turkey season on May 30, 2023.
Due to the rainy weather, the Sylvan Hill mountain bike trails will remain closed.
