Gasparilla Island, FL (WSAU) – In a surprise announcement, Tucker Carlson formally announced on Tuesday afternoon that he will soon have a new show.
The new show will be streamed on Twitter, and the announcement video was just under 3 minutes long and took what appeared to be a subliminal shot at his former employer and other cable news networks when he said, “You can’t have a free society if people aren’t allowed to say what they think is true.” he continued by saying, “Amazingly, as of tonight there aren’t many platforms left that allow free speech. The last big one remaining in the world…the only one is Twitter.
Carlson ended the video by saying, “Starting soon we’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and half years to Twitter. We’ll also be bringing some other things too which we’ll you about…but for now, we’re just grateful to be here.”

Tucker Carlson was the most-watched cable news personality on television before him, and Fox News agreed to part ways in April. Carlson’s contract with Fox does not end until January of 2025, and the network has signaled that they would like to keep paying him in order to prevent him from signing with a competing network.
According to Axios, Carlson has already gotten “eye-popping offers from several right-wing outlets, and him and Elon Musk have discussed working together.”
Axios is also reporting that Carlson is planning to sue Fox News for fraud and breach of contract. According to sources close to the situation, Carlson was fired as part of the network’s settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.
A letter from Carlson’s attorney’s to Fox News details that the network broke an agreement not to settle with Dominion “in a way which would indicate wrongdoing” on part of Carlson and not to take any actions in a settlement that would harm Carlson’s reputation.
Carlson’s lawyers have urged Fox News to “preserve all existing documents and data” pertinent to Fox’s relationship with Carlson, including correspondence between top executives and multiple media sites,” Axios said.
