MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Nearly a week after the team fired former head coach Mike Budenholzer, the Bucks have announced some of the candidates they will be interviewing for the job.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Milwaukee Bucks have been granted permission to interview Golden State Warriors assistant head coach Kenny Atkinson.
Atkinson was an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers before joining Golden State for the last two seasons. He spent more than three seasons as the Brooklyn Nets head coach, leading them to the 2019 playoffs, and finished with an overall record of 118-190.
Other candidates expected to interview include Milwaukee associate head coach Charles Lee and ex-Charlotte head coach James Borrego.
Wojnarowski also noted that there will be additional candidates and interviews announced in the coming days.
