WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — What started as a domestic disturbance call led to the seizure of more than $33,000 worth of marijuana and cocaine on Wausau’s east side.
Officers were called to a home on Single Avenue at around midnight when a neighbor reported a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived they found over 400 grams of marijuana, 250 grams of powdered cocaine, and 52 grams of crack cocaine. A revolver and $4,000 in cash were also recovered.
According to Wausau Police Captain Ben Graham, the drugs have a combined street value of $33,271.43. That includes more than $21,000 worth of powdered cocaine and $5,000 worth of crack.
The investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Samuel Teague of Wausau who was booked into the Marathon County jail. He’s expected to make an initial court appearance on Thursday.
Police have recommended five charges against him including battery, disorderly conduct, and possession of both cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute. He could also face one count for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Details of the domestic disturbance have not been released.
