WESTON, WI (WSAU) — The Village of Weston will hold a public open house for its new Village Hall on Saturday.
Residents are invited to tour the facility at 4747 Camp Phillips Road from 10 AM to 2 PM. The facility contains all Village offices along with a shop and garage space for the public works department.
Ground was broken for the new building in July of 2021. Village leaders began moving their meetings to the space in November, including a Village Board meeting which was used to approve the 2023 budget and tax levy. The soft opening for the space was held in mid-December when the village began accepting property tax payments.
Village leaders have been talking for years about building a new municipal center to meet their growing needs, citing a lack of space and other inefficiencies at their former location on Schofield Avenue. The Village did issue a request for proposals to redevelop the site last fall, but none were received. The board will discuss whether to reissue the request during a future meeting.
