GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Mason Crosby’s wife responded to a tweet made by new Packer fan Simone Biles suggesting that the team has moved on from her husband, who is currently a free agent after nearly two decades in Green Bay.
“Sad we will miss you, we just ended a 16-year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got some stuff I need to share with you. A little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…” she said when responding to Biles.
Despite selecting Auburn’s Anders Carlson during the sixth round in the NFL draft in April, general manager Brian Gutekunst stated that the organization would “never close the door” on bringing Crosby back.
Crosby currently holds every Packer kicking record and, with 256 consecutive games played, he broke Brett Farve’s record for the most consecutive games played last season. In NFL history, only Adam Vinatieri and Robbie Gould have scored more points than Crosby.
