BROWNSVILLE, TX (WSAU) – A recent poll finds that the majority of Americans believe that there is a crisis at the southern border and that the problem of illegal immigration in the nation is only getting worse.
According to a Rasmussen poll, 66 percent of Americans believe that there is a crisis at the southern border, where illegal immigration has reached record highs under Biden’s leadership. While 22% of respondents felt the situation wasn’t a crisis, 13% said they weren’t sure.
Democrats were more likely than other political parties to think that the situation is not a crisis, with 38 percent stating that it is and 46 percent saying that it is. The majority of conservatives (82%) and “other” respondents (70%) agreed that the situation was a catastrophe.

86% of conservatives believed the situation was a crisis. 37 percent of liberals and 58 percent of moderates agreed.
The poll also revealed that 57 percent of respondents believe that the issue of illegal immigration is growing worse. 2 percent said they weren’t sure, while 29 percent said it was about the same, and 12 percent claimed it was getting better.
Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz said in a recent tweet that were 14,752 apprehensions and 4,316 approximate getaways over this past weekend.
