MOSCOW, ID (WSAU) – A grand jury in Latah County has indicted the 28-year-old man who is suspected of killing four University of Idaho students.
According to ABC News, Bryan Kohberger has been formally indicted on charges of first-degree murder. In January, the Kohberger was taken into custody at his parents’ Pennsylvania residence before being sent back to Idaho. On Monday, he will be arraigned and allowed to enter a formal plea.
On November 13, 2022, four friends—Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Madison Mogen, 21—were fatally murdered. Six weeks later, Kohberger was arrested.
In connection with the murders, authorities have issued more than 60 warrants, which have also been filed against important businesses and financial institutions like Amazon, DoorDash, Reddit, and the owner of dating websites like Tinder and OkCupid. The warrants’ content has been “sealed and redacted” as part of the prosecution’s murder case against Kohberger.
Kohberger’s trial has not yet been scheduled. According to NewsNation, a person’s ID from the home where the four students were killed was discovered in Kohberger’s car last month.
