PLOVER, WI (WSAU) — The Village and Town of Plover have announced the hire of Malorie Paine as the first Executive Director of their new Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Paine comes to the Plover Area Convention and Visitors Bureau with a decade of marketing, communications, journalism, and event management background, according to a news release from the Plover Area CVB.
“I’m thrilled to lead Plover’s tourism efforts,” Paine said. “Plover offers a vast array of visitor experiences, and I am looking forward to highlighting them and sharing Plover’s incredible story locally and beyond.”
Paine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Her first official day with the Plover Area CVB will be June 5th.

The Plover Area CVB was formed earlier this year after the Village voted to break away from the Stevens Point Area CVB, choosing instead to keep hotel room tax revenue under their control. Village Administrator Dan Ault has said there’s no bad blood between Plover and Stevens Point. Instead, they want to focus on crafting their own marketing strategy.
