WESTON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A local restaurant is raising funds to assist the family of one of the D.C. Everest students who died in a car accident this weekend.
Emily Lewerenz worked at Patron Mexican Restaurant for many years. They’re contributing 15% of their revenues to her family to help with expenses.
Emily had worked at Patron since she was 15 years old, and her bosses and co-workers describe her as an upbeat employee who was always willing to step in and help with anything that was needed.
They say that over time, she became more than just an employee, but also a family member.
The fundraiser will run through Thursday.
