OSHKOSH, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The former Plover youth pastor out on bond for charges of child sex assault is once again behind bars.

The judge set a $1 million cash bond. Should he post pod he’s ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, no contact with the Econo Lodge in Fox Crossing, no use of social media or the internet, and no possession or use of any device capable of accessing the internet. He’s also been ordered to stay in the state.

Huffman had been out on bond for charges related to his time as a youth pastor at The Woodlands Church in Plover. That dates back to 2017 when he was tasked with mentoring a child that had been acting out in school. It’s believed that Huffman assaulted the victim multiple times over three years, stopping only after the victim told him they no longer wanted to do anything sexual.
Charges from that incident include first-degree child sex assault and repeated sex assault of the same child. He is expected to reach a plea deal in that case, with a hearing set for June 23rd.
He’s also due back in Winnebago County court on June 19th for further court action related to the new charges.
