The Milwaukee Brewers lost in game 3 against the San Francisco Giants yesterday afternoon 3-1. They face off again today for the series final, trying to avoid a four-game series sweep.
The Giants Pitcher Logan Webb shut the Brewers down with 7 strong innings, only allowing 1 run while striking out 11. A Mitch Hainger had a two-run home run in the 8th which ended up giving the win to San Francisco.
Milwaukee Brewers manager, Craig Counsell said after the loss on Saturday, that the team is facing difficulties with swinging the bats well. He went on to state that the runs will come if they keep working and have good at-bats. The Giants though, are making it difficult as they are playing their best baseball. The Giants are 16-9 for the month of May, and above .500 for the first time all season, and have won 10 of 12 of their previous games.
The San Francisco Giants may have the Brewers number right now because they are currently 5-1 against the NL Central leaders after winning 2 of 3 games in the first week of May.
Brewers shortstop, Willy Adames, is still on the injured list and will remain there until this coming Friday, after receiving a concussion from a foul ball in Friday night’s game.
