WESTON, WI (WSAU) — The Village of Weston is preparing for turnover in the Administrator’s office.
The Village Board has scheduled a closed-session discussion for Thursday to review applications for the position. According to President Mark Maloney, they are in no rush to make a hire.
Current Administrator Keith Donner has indicated that he plans to retire at the end of the year, meaning they’d like to get someone in place in the next few weeks to allow “both to work together for a smooth transition.”
Donner previously served as the Village’s Public Works Director before being elevated to the interim administrator during the spring of 2018 when former Administrator Daniel Guild was put on leave. He served in the interim role for nearly seven months before he was offered the job permanently in January 2019.
It was Donner’s second stint as the interim Administrator. He also bridged the gap between Dean Zuleger and Guild in 2012.
Thursday’s meeting also includes discussion on possible improvements to some Village buildings including the salt shed and exterior renovations to the public safety building.
