The Wausau boy’s lacrosse coop could grow to include D.C. Everest.
The Wausau Board of Education will meet at 6 PM Wednesday to take a vote on allowing the Evergreens to join up with both East and West to form the program, which will officially take the field this fall.
The board approved the East-West coop earlier this month.
Boy’s and girl’s lacrosse was officially sanctioned by the WIAA last December thanks to help from Wausau Wolfpack coach Tony Brown, who was part of the group that worked to elevate the sport from club status to officially WIAA sponsorship.
