STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Test results from swim beaches in the Stevens Point area show low levels of E. Coli and other bacteria.
According to a news release from Environmental Health Sanitarian Phillip Gruber shows all 12 beaches that were sampled showed levels below the EPA recommended level for E. Coli and other bacteria, meaning they are considered safe for use.
Those areas include Iverson Park, Bukolt Park, Lake Pacawa, and Lake Dubay.
Portage County Health Department monitors beach and lake water quality and issues advisories and closures if levels exceed limits.
