The event’s coordinator Jean Frankel says that the airport will not be open to spectators but there will be areas around the airport people can watch the fireworks.
“People can go to the airport, it’s just that the airport grounds won’t be open…so they can sit on the outside of the fence and view the fireworks from Airport Park and Alexander Park,” Frankel said.
The Town of Rib Mountain, the Village of Rothschild, the City of Schofield, the Village of Weston, and the City of Wausau collaborated on the fireworks show event.
