MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSource) Mike Tauchman led the Chicago Cubs over the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in NL Central action at American Family Field. The Cubs designated hitter hit a two-run double and scored the game-winning run in the top of the ninth to spark the comeback.
Michael Rucker earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief, while Adbert Alzolay recorded his fifth save.
The Cubs have won two straight to improve to 40-and-45. Brewers reliever Devin Williams was charged with the loss and his second blown save after allowing three runs in the ninth.
Willy Adames hit his 13th home run of the season as the Brewers fell to 46-and-41, two games behind the Reds.
The Brewers and Cubs wrap up their series this afternoon at 12:35pm on WSAU. Freddy Peralta will get the start for the Crew. The Cubs will counter with right-hander Marcus Stroman.
