AMHERST, WI (WSAU) – Families will be able to enjoy all the fun activities the Portage County Fair has to offer starting on Thursday.
The doors will open at 5 o’clock. $20 wristbands are valid from 6 to 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the gates open earlier since many 4-H events are going on, such as animal judging.
On Friday, the parade starts at noon, and the carnival starts at 5 o’clock. The theme for this year is “Small Town Big Fair.” At 3 p.m., the demolition derby begins. Additionally, $20 wristbands are available on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 9 p.m. On Sunday, the carnival also starts at noon.
The Amherst Fairgrounds are located in Amherst at 4504 Fairground Road.
