GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – QB Alex McGough, who won MVP for the USFL’s 2023 season, will workout with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday.
KPRC-2 in Houston Aaron Wilson was the first to report the story after rumors started floating around that the Packers were looking to add a fourth quarterback for training camp.
In the 2023 season, McGough, an All-USFL selection, helped the Birmingham Stallions to an 8-2 record, a USFL championship, and 25 touchdowns. He led the league’s top offense, produced more than 2,500 total yards, topped the league in passer rating, and threw a league-high 20 touchdown passes.

At FIU, McGough played four seasons. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he later played for the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Love, Danny Etling, and Sean Clifford, a fifth-round pick, are the quarterbacks on the active roster at the moment. Jordan Love is the only quarterback on the roster who has started an NFL game.
