PHILADELPHIA, PA (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Phillies 4-3 in their series opener from Philadelphia.
Julio Teheran got the loss after surrendering four runs on seven hits over four-plus innings. Andruw Monasterio went two-for-three with an RBI for Milwaukee, which dropped to 52-43.
Milwaukee’s top five hitters combined to go 0-20 in the game.
Philadelphia scored single runs in each of the first three innings then scored another run in the 5th.
The Brew Crew are still first in the NL Central. Game two of the three-game set takes place tonight. Pre game show at 5:05 on WSAU.
