GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Rescuers will continue searching the area on Friday for a boater who was reported missing on Thursday.
Just after 4:30, Green Lake County dispatchers responded to a 911 call concerning a potential drowning victim on Big Green Lake.
The Wisconsin DNR, fire departments, and the sheriff’s office responded and searched throughout the day on Thursday.
Horner’s Landing will be closed on Friday while search and rescue efforts continue. Boaters are being advised to steer clear of the area. “As the search continues, we ask the public to respectfully avoid the search area and give emergency crews room to apply all efforts to searching for the subject involved,” the sheriff’s office stated in a news release.
