WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – On Monday morning, firefighters responded to a call of a converted camper on fire in downtown Wausau.
Several firetrucks, police vehicles, and ambulances could be seen from the street as firefighters arrived at the scene around 10 a.m. and were able to contain the fire.
According to Wausau Fire Department, the fire started while the owner of the converted van/camper was preparing breakfast in the parking lot of CK Clothing and Spa. She was treated on the spot after suffering minor burns on her hands and feet.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, although it is not thought to be suspicious.
