TOWN OF BIRCH, WI (WSAU) — A 38-year-old Irma man is facing a disorderly conduct charge after allegedly threatening to kill his wife during an argument.
Sheriff’s officials say they were called to a home in the Town of Birch last Monday for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigators say the disagreement started over how to hold their newborn child, leading to the threats.
The man fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Upon further investigation, they also learned that he was wanted on some outstanding warrants and had a history of checking himself into the Wausau Crisis Center.
He was summoned to court last week for a count of disorderly conduct. Further court action against him is pending, and the man’s name has not been released.
