MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSouce) – The Brewers staged a late comeback, but fell short in a 4-3 loss to the Reds from Milwaukee.
The team trailed 4-0 in the bottom of the ninth until Christian Yelich blasted a three-run homer to pull within one. Alexis Diaz came into the game and recorded the final out to cut the rally short.
Corbin Burnes suffered the loss for Milwaukee, which dropped to 56-and-46. The Brew Crew lead Cincy by half a game for first place in the NL Central.
The Brewers will try to win the series this afternoon. Game coverage begins at 12:35pm on WSAU.
