Jordan Love Answers Questions During First Media Availability As Starting QB - Photo by Rob Demovsky
GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers officially kicked off training camp on Wednesday morning, and the franchise’s new starting quarterback, Jordan Love, received a message from an old teammate beforehand.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, former Packers star Aaron Rodgers texted Love on Tuesday night, saying, “Be yourself, have fun, and enjoy it.”
Love told reporters back in May that Rodgers also texted him after he was traded to the Jets, saying, “He wished me the best and said he’d always be there if I needed anything or had any questions or anything.”
Fans and reporters covering the team attended today’s practice and saw Love have a hit-and-miss day.
He started the day by showcasing his accuracy by throwing a few solid passes directly into the practice net, which was one of Rodgers’s favorite warm-up rituals while in Green Bay.

Love also had his down moments when he underthrew rookie tight end Luke Musgrove deep down the right sideline, but he also finished the day strong with a great throw over the middle to Samori Toure with Keisean Nixon playing tight coverage.
The Packers will return to practice tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
