Atlanta, GA- The Milwaukee Brewers could not find their momentum in game two against the Atlanta Braves last night. The Braves defeated the Brewers 11-5.
The Braves were able to score 6 runs within the first inning as they celebrated Ronald Acuna’s accomplishments. He hit his 24th homer and stole his 50th base. He’s on pace for 39 home runs and 79 steals for the season. The Brave’s pitcher Bryce Elder shut down the Brewers after a huge lead, by only allowing 1 run, and 4 hits while striking out 3 in 7 innings.
Milwaukee’s pitcher Julio Terean gave up 9 runs and 11 hits, 3 of which were home runs, within the 5 innings he played.
William Contreras was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and hit a 3-run homer in the 8th for Milwaukee. Trailing in the 8th 11-1, the Brewers scored 4 runs on Conreras’ three-run homer and RBI single by Joey Wiemer.
The two teams face off again today at Truist Park at 1:35 P.M ET. Coverage begins at 12 P.M on WSAU
