MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers continue to be very active during the MLB trade deadline acquiring another veteran to help out the team make a playoff push.
The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired reliever Andrew Chafin from the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Arizona will receive young bullpen arm Peter Strezlecki in return.
They also sent Luis Urias to Boston for minor league pitcher Bradley Blalock.
On Monday the Brewers also traded their No. 30 prospect, Justin Jarvis, who will be eligible for the Rule 5 draft later this year to the New York Mets for Mark Cahna who is expected to play for Milwaukee on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals.

Canha is hitting.245/.343/.381 this year and has experience playing all three outfield positions as well as corner infield.
The Houston Astros earlier on Monday claimed Jake Cousins off waivers, freeing up a slot on the 40-man roster for the Brewers, who now need to make room on their 26-man roster for Canha.
Milwaukee has now made three trades in the last week to improve their offense after acquiring Carlos Santana from the Pittsburgh Pirates, and according to MLB Insider Bruce Levine, they still might not be done after he linked Milwaukee to a possible trade for Chicago White Sox power hitter Eloy Jimenez.
Jimenez is hitting.285 with 13 homers so far this season and would be a major upgrade for the Brewers at the DH position, but Levine says that the Brewers are not willing to part with any top prospects after GM Matt Arnold stated that he wants to add to the team “responsibly.”
