WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A country music singer and songwriter will help open the Wisconsin Valley Fair today.
Mitchell Tenpenny takes the stage in Marathon Park at 7:30 PM. His concert will be followed by a fireworks display.
The fair officially opens at 12 noon with midway rides opening at 5:00 PM. Other events include dog judging and a doughnut-eating contest.
Tenpenny, a late addition to the fair lineup, will be followed by Rick Springfield and JoDee Messina over the next two days. Two rodeo performances and the popular demo derby round out the final three days of the fair.
