MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Following a visit to Madison this past weekend the Badgers have landed one of their first major commitments for 2025.
Remington Moss, a defensive back from St. Michael the Archangel High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia, committed to Wisconsin early, according to Badgers 24/7. Moss, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete, announced his decision on Wednesday.
“I picked Wisconsin because I think they have something special going on up there,” he said. “I believe that I have a higher than normal chance of getting playing time as a freshman.
Moss had more than two dozen offers from schools, including Ole Miss, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Penn State.
Although 247Sports rates Moss as a high three-star safety, his status at Wisconsin will depend on how his body improves before he sets foot on campus.
He stated in a recent interview that he’s open to playing cornerback or safety “I have the ability to play both. I’ll just stay versatile. They told me in their DB room right now, the big thing they’re missing is length. I think I could definitely come in and contribute off my size, IQ, and technique.”
Moss is the second player in Wisconsin’s class of 2025. Landyn Locke, a quarterback out of Rockwall High School in Texas, pledged to the Badgers in June. He’s also the brother of current Badgers quarterback Braedyn Locke.
